BioThe American punk scene now, is certainly different from the American punk scene of years ago. I like it, however I think it is way too divided. All the little sectors and factions are frustrating. You have the street punk kids, the straight edge kids, the crusties, you have pop punk, new school, old school, the list goes on and on and on. I never remember punks referring to themselves as "street punks" 10 years ago. Punks would just call themselves "punks" across the board. You had punks, and you had skinheads. All these divisions in my mind make a mockery out of what the whole thing is about. Punks have the rest of the world to contend with, if they can't get along with themselves, then punk has lost a lot of it's meaning.
